Issue #12: Wolves at the Gate Part I
Xander and Rene are keeping watch on slayer central. Xander thinks he sees some foxes out in the distance and gets Rene to check it out. Inside the castle Buffy and Satsu are in bed together and elsewhere Willow's flying Andrew in. Just as Willow sets Andrew down, from the mist, a girl with blue hair grabs her.
On top of the castle Xander finally has the courage to ask Rene out and they each head back inside followed by some thick, thick fog. Xander goes to find Buffy to see if they can sort out their wolf problem. Buffy meanwhile is trying to explain her situation with Satsu. Satsu tries to get up to leave but Buffy tells her not to. As she does that Xander comes into the bedroom to tell Buffy about the wolf problem, only to see her naked with Satsu!
Soon after Xander comes in, Rene stumbles into the room, then Andrew and even Dawn sees through the bedroom window. Finally Willow comes crashing through the ceiling just as confused as everyone else. The wolves have entered the compound and have headed for the armory. They're not just wolves, they appear to be shape shifting vampires who are after the scythe.
Buffy fights off one of the vampires, but one of the wolves makes off with the scythe. The slayers get together to figure out what's going on. But it's down to Xander to go to someone who could help. He and Rene go off in the helicopter to see ... Dracula.
