Hello Friday! It’s my last working day before I go off on holiday and possibly the last day of ‘proper’ news. I’ll hopefully be posting another ‘highlights’ of my upcoming first time at Comic Con. Anyway, not to bring you down, here’s the news:

Canada.com lists Sean Maher as an actor they’d like to see back on TV. And I tend to agree.

Remember Corin Nemec? He played Jonas Quinn on Stargate: SG-1, for a brief run, replacing Michael Shanks’ Daniel Jackson. Though I think replace is a harsh word, because frankly Jonas was awesome. Here he speaks about his upcoming movie role as Ted Bundy.

Good morning! I’m sounding more perky than I actually feel. Counting down the days until Friday when I’ll be going for a lovely weekend conventioning it up at Starfury’s T1. Until then here’s today’s news with some words from James about the Buffy Comics, a retort from Dark Horse and more misc news.

I’m back! And still trying to catch up on various TV assortments that I’ve missed while I was away. Sadly not seen last week’s Dollhouse but I think it’s on the top of my list of things to watch tonight. Hopefully. I did manage to see the totally kick arse finale episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles, and now to come back to find out that it’s more than likely been canned. Typical. Oh well, here’s the news for today.

EW’s Ausiello broke the news first last night claiming that Sarah Connor has indeed been axed. also see reaction from io9.com and TV Squad.

» Joss Whedon speculates on Dollhouse’s future and teases the 13th episode
Joss speaks about Dr. Horrible and Dollhouse at the very recent Paley Festival. He’s claiming that Dollhouse hasn’t yet been axed and gives hints about the penultimate episode of Dollhouse.

» Julie Benz Talks Dexter Cast Wedding
Julie talks about the very private ceremony that her Dexter co-stars (Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter) had when they got married on New Years’ Eve. As for the new season of Dexter, all Julie’s hoping for is that Rita gets a new house!

» Possession Now Going to DVD?
According to horror site Shock Till You Drop Sarah Michelle Gellar’s new movie, Possession, will now be going straight to DVD, despite initial claims that it would be released in cinemas early this year. In the States at least. The movie also stars Pushing Daisies actor Lee Pace.

Since The Grudge came out in 2004, Sarah Michelle Gellar has made nine films – one went straight to DVD, another has bounced around more than Pam Anderson’s boobs in trying to find a release date and all the others were barely blips on the radar. The only noteworthy title was Southland Tales and that’s just because it was so despised at Cannes, you can still hear the booing. Read full article.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Returns to TV

Sarah Michelle Gellar is eyeing a return to television with a half-hour project set up at HBO from screenwriter Charles Randolph. Set in Gotham, “The Wonderful Maladys” ensembler revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age. Randolph described Gellar’s character as having “a kind of zealous immaturity — like a drug addict with a to-do list.” Read full article.

Possession’s Gellar Pie-Eyed

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who will appear opposite Lee Pace in the supernatural thriller Possession, told SCI FI Wire she enjoyed working with the star of ABC’s hit Pushing Daisies, who takes on a role quite different from that of his TV pie-maker. “It’s just this sort of weird and crazy dynamic between Lee and I that goes from hate to love and sort of back and forth,” Gellar said in an interview. “It’s pretty cool. It’s small and contained. It’s only about three characters.” Read full article.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Gellar Fears for Sad Britney

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar has expressed her fears for troubled Britney Spears – insisting the singer’s plight should not be viewed as entertainment. The actress is a big fan of the Toxic hitmaker and is sure that her recent breakdown could have been avoided if she had more support from her friends and family. She tells Parade magazine, “It’s (Spears’ situation) not something to joke about. I’ve met Britney a few times and seen her perform.” Read full article.
